While Flickr still exists, the nerds thought it would be a good time to get some stats from it. For example, it turns out the most popular camera among users of the photo sharing site is…. the iPhone 4! I guess the old saying is true: The best camera is the one you have with you. Alas, not everyone sticks to the rules of photography. For example, Newsweek seems to have ignored the old adage ”Don’t make massive Photoshop disasters with tragically dead princesses.” The results are somewhat gruesome.
The nerds have talked about self driving cars before, but it turns out the age of letting your vehicle do all the work is closer now than it’s ever been. Nevada has passed a law that would allow them to create rules of the road for self driving cars, while Volkswagen is now developing something they call “semi automatic mode.” Here’s hoping it has nothing to do with Mancation Nation.
And speaking of automated, Tesco seems to be paving the way for a new style of shopping in South Korea. They’ve put virtual displays in subway stops where you can buy your food using only your phone. And yes, they do take ninjas.
The ladies get their due on the show this week. It seems there are no lengths to which people won’t stoop in order to raise cancer awareness. So the girls have come up with their own version of “Movember”. The nerds are already excited about it, largely based on the name. What does leave the boys cold however is a body casting artist in England who has come up with a full wall sculpture of the ladies’ sensitive bits.
All that plus, bailing your parents out of jail for public indecency, woman and their gaydar, and why Hugh Hefner can’t remember the dog’s name.
