It is still quite relevant in the real estate business...and I would assume other industries that require signed legal papers to be transferred electronically. The strange thing about it is that some of the time the fax/printer/scanner is used to scan the document and then e-mail it. Why not just use a scanner? Because if it is in the machine and the other person has a fax...why not just fax it rather than go through the extra step? So the fax may live a while longer yet.....
